have any of you read shawn johnson-the story behind the smile? if so was it good? i just read a story called the galax arena it is about regular girs who get taken to space and are forced to learn gymnastics. it was really good ! has anyone else read it? :)

yes, my dd has got this book right after the Olympics (she was 9 at the time) and she loved it. The book is filled with lots of personal photos and interesting comments from Shawn and her family.

Whether the book is GOOD or not, really depends on what you're looking for. It's not a "story" as in chapters, but more a "story" told by photos with captions. You might want to check your local library, you might get lucky and find it there.

thanks!! yes it looked like a great book i was going to see if my library had it :)

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
