There are some girls that have weak FHS but do much better with a "roundoff" vault. The tsuk timer is just a roundoff to the stacked mats. My YG didn't do well with the FHS, so she switched to 1/2 on-repulsion off (roundoff) for Xcel Gold. Now, she competes 1/2 On-1/2 Off and it is beautiful. She can also do a pretty good tsuk timerIt’s not just the vault. Beam requirements have changed too. And if you have a weak fhs vault, what’s the benefit of rushing from that to a tsuk/tusk timer? And yes, a yurchenko timer over the table takes some getting used to!
