If that's the RI in Santa Clara, that's where I had my bachelorette party!! Woohoo!!

Thanks for the heads up the schedule is out. Looks like two level 10 sessions, so our sessions may not be adjacent. Last year they only had one level 10 session(I think) so looks like we won't know until a few weeks before which session we will be in. Wonder why so many level 10's this year? Could it be because of the code changes?

I have stayed at the Creekside Inn, although I am in the Bay Area, my son had a very early meet one year so we stayed close rather than fight traffic from our house. But unfortunately it is already booked.

Do you know where you might stay? I am looking at the Homewood. We are there for the whole weekend as of right now, although that might change.

If we are not adjacent, let me know....we can come watch for a bit!

Well, it looks like D is doing JD in Stanford. Coach made the decision last night. He almost has all of his gym-required L9 skills, but is missing a few. I think he wil have them by Stanford, but decision had to be made. He will do JD at the next 2 meets. At the one before Stanford, if he shows his L9 routines, he can move to L9 for the remainder of the season. If not, he will stay JD while working toward L9/10 next season. Coach wants his L9 start value to be around an 81. He is around 79 right now.

It is tough, especially coming from a gym that was so loosey-goosey with everything. This one has structures and rules. New, but probably good. This way he can work the skills the right way while competing successfully. If he gets them (again, I think he will) great. if not, then he will keep working them and have more time.

While it may be tough for D to accept, at least the coach has a reasoning for his decision. Either way D can be working on all his skills and still gets to compete. I think each gym is trying to figure out the best way to use JD vs the traditional optional levels.

hopefully he can accept whatever the decision is, in the way it is meant.

I think he has come to terms with the idea. He said he was ok doing JD as long as the goal was to work to L10 next year. But I think he is planning to try to get the skills.

He is officially JD at Stanford.....

What skills does he need? Well, then we won't cross paths at Stanford :(.

so, he needs swing to strength on rings, peach to support on pbars, and a b level dismount on pommel. I will figure something out! Once you know your plans, let me know. We will be there early on FRiday, so we will have time ;)
