At my 5year old's first ever mock meet, I noticed that on rings, and high bar, he was the only one not able to do a hanging chin up and required the coach's assistance.
He's only been on team for 4 months, and did kinder 2 months before that, but I was wondering if there was anything we should work on at home to improve strength as I noticed other boys his age were able to do them.
Is this something that gets taught at the gym or the kid just has to know how to do one?
