Women That look of "I got it"

So my gymnast is repeating 4 and doing early states. Last year she did well but there was just this look that I had seen in previous years of "I got it" that I did not see last year. My big goals for her are to gain life skills regardless of the level she competes. A few weeks ago she said herself, "If I had moved up I would be struggling to get new skills before I even master the ones I have". My heart was singing... She looks beautiful and her coach told me the other night, "Seeing her makes me love what I do". So this morning she had her first meet of the season... I saw that look again of "I got it". Happy Mama

That's wonderful to hear. Too many parents and gymnasts don't seem to understand the benefits and reasons for repeating. Sometimes it's not the right answer, but at other times it can be just what a gymnast needs to make a positive move forward.
