C's MOM

:(

Many times as we are stuck in a "moment" of gymnastics craziness, we never stop to consider what others may be feeling. We tend to think and get stuck in the notion that our problem is so overwhelming. I found out tonight that an old teammate of my DD lost her father this weekend. This little one is only 10 yo. Wow! The problems I was having today pale in comparison. Let us pause and consider the many blessings we have. Let us leave those problems on the back burner and hug those we love. I can't think of anything worse than losing a loved one. Please say a prayer for this little girl and her beautiful family. The turmoil they must be feeling at this time is unthinkable.

Poor girl :-( My dad died when I was 5, almost 6 (15th anniversary next week actually) and know how hard it can be. :big hug: She and her family will def be in my prayers.

Saying prayers for the child and her family. I cannot imagine how difficult that must be.

I am old (or at least ,gasp, middle age) and I have told my dad that he must wait until he is at least 94 like both his mom and dad or prefrrably until I am the age he was when he lost his parents (mid sixties). Not to make light, I know accidents and illness happen and I am grateful every day that I still have both of my parents.

That poor baby, and her poor family. I lost my dad when I was 23..and it changed my whole world. I can't even imagine how it must feel when you are still just a child. Her and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Ahh my heart goes out to the family. I lost my father when I was 10.

Funnily enough I've missed him a lot recently- He was the one who got us all started in sport, and gymnastics. Now DD is on team I often wish I had him to discuss all this gym madness with, as he went through it with me.

You lot will have to do instead :p
