GymnasticsCoaching.com just did this story:

http://gymnasticscoaching.com/?p=1162

It reminds me of a homemade Vertimax machine (http://www.vertimax.com). Vertimax machines seem to be getting more and more popular in gymnastics. We have an athletic training center close to us that has one. Our girls that have used it have seen huge increases in their vertical jump.

Does anyone have a Vertimax machine at their gym?

we have had one for a couple months it seems to be working but it hasnt been long enough to see any dramatic improvements.

I think I saw that at congress, or maybe just literature on it. It would be interesting to hear from someone who's been using it a while. Do the kids like it?

its definately working and the kids seem to like it but the thing isnt cheap, there are like 4 diffrent models. the cheapest on is like 2 grand and the most expensive is almost 4
