It seems like a nice place for the parents to wait would cut down on the CGMs, especially if it is away from the viewing area. If gyms keep the paying part of the equation happy then everyone is happier.

Our gym has three viewing rooms - one that is adult only/quiet room, one that has a kids play area right off of it, and one that is on the second floor, looking down at the gymnasts. All are glassed so communication is limited to when the kids go in or come out. I have never heard of anyone told not to watch the kids, in fact once in a while the coaches can be seen trying to get a parent's attention to have them see a new skill.

The gym has a workout room for adults to use if they wish. Treadmills, a stationary bike, elliptical, weights...

Many parents drop off, it seems like more girls parents stay than boys.

That sounds awesome!! My goal is always to get my own workout in during her class, but I drive to my own gym.

We also have a workout area, its a series of streets around our gym, you can walk, run, ride and skate all yo want for free. ;)

That works in SoCal year-round and nearly nowhere else. Seriously, I do adore San Diego though and would've loved to be a gym mom there over most other places!

You would be the victim of a hit and run within a week if you tried to run on the streets around either of DD's gyms. In June-September you can play roulette with heat stroke as well.
