Hello! My little sister is now starting competitive gymnastics and I am so proud, she seems to love it and wants to be in the gym all day. My sister is currently 8 competing Xcel platinum. (After me and my Aunt did some research on Xcel we realized this would be the best option for her). She did recreational gymnastics for 2 years and has advanced very fast.

Since she has come from recreational she is a bit behind on the dance portion of gymnastics. Can someone provide me with a list of dance skills for her to master?

Is this her first season competing? Is she in the US? Platinum is not an entry level. I’ve attached the chart to show the requirements for competing the levels. She must start at silver and earn mobility scores to move up.

Did the coaches say she was doing XP? Like GAgymmom said, it’s not entry level. If she has XP skills at 8, they might talk to you about JO. At least in my area, you won’t see too many 8 yr old XPs. Either way, good luck to her!
