I just moved up to gold in may. I competed silver for 3 years. I realize that it’s unlikely that I will be a platinum but I’d still love to hear your opinion. Here are my skills
Floor
FHS FT
FP
ROBHSBL
Leap to 150
1 1/2 turn

Beam
CW CW
BWO
RO
Full turn
Straight jump split jump to 120
Gainer dismount

Vault
1/2 1/2
Yurchanko to resi mat
1/2 1/1

Bars
Very close to Kip
Close to clear hip
Double BHC
Squat on
I am very afraid of fly away, can’t even do one into pit bar

Sort its so long. But I’d love to hear what you think.

You actually have platinum routines on everything except bars. You would need to work on kip, clear hips, and flyaways for platinum.

However, you would still need to score out of gold before even moving up to platinum, so you would have to complete at least 1 meet of gold and get the qualifying move up score (31 AA). It is also unlikely (for most gyms) to move xcel athletes up levels mid season.

Thanks! One of my coaches did talk to me about skipping gold. We have a local meet hosted by our gym which was the one she suggested to possibly compete gold, at then move to platinum. We have a few other gymnasts at our gym doing that same thing.
