I think that the floor should be pink and the border white so the chalk doesn't show up at much, but that's just me.

That's what I had heard as well, every arena seems to be brightly colored. Something about London wanting to have a "fresh" look?

after seeing several areas, it does look like that deep pink and purple are being use a lot. I even saw it on banners for one of GB's swimmers. and the medals have the purplish ribbons...
