WAG When do they announce who made the TOPS A and B teams?

looks like she was invited to DIC- did she actually get invited to Dev Camp- is she there this week?

I don't know- I just know what some of the parents said...I have a boy so it's a little different on the boys side.

If kids were bumped to the DIC camp because other girls from their gym also were invited, that really doesn't sound fair if it's supposed to be something that is "better" than TOPS A team. That puts a kid who is the only high talent kid at their gym at a disadvantage cause those DIC slots could be taken up by less talented kids who just happen to be at a gym w/ a super talented kid. That could lead to high talent kids moving to gyms w/ other high talent kids just so they can get into that DIC camp - and doesn't that go against the whole point of the camps to begin with? Aren't they done so that gymnasts don't have to move to certain special gyms full time to be elite.

Our gym had 3 really talented gymnasts go to the National TOPs testing...one made B camp, one made DIC and one didn't make anything....and she's really good....

Could just be her year group is really strong. Or she had a bad day on skills or something. That can happen.

I understand the value of the DIC and D.C. camp, do any of your gyms have national coaching staff that comes to your gym to work with the girls? Curious to know how that works. Of course it wouldn't crests the pressure and rigor of camp but it could be powerful to have that individual attention.

So the last Developmental Camp and Development Invitational Camp of the year are over. I have seen lots of photos on social media with lovely matching leotards and people getting awards for physical abilities. There seems to have been a ton of girls at DIC. Any news coming out about what is happening with the existing DIC girls or are they just adding the new ones and making a bigger training camp.
