Quite a while back someone on here talked about a girl who went from cheer to elite. Who is this girl? I just thought about her and I'm curious how she is doing

I believe you are thinking of Laney Madsen. She plans to compete at worlds for Belarus as
her mom is from there and her dad is American.

She decided to pursue gymnastics in 2013 I believe after being inspired watching the 2012 olympics. She qualified elite in 2017 and competed at the US Classics but did not qualify to nationals last year. I believe she decided that her best option of competing internationally was by competing for Bulgaria. Fascinating story...
