WAG Women's Team or Girls' Team

Here is a semantics question for you. Do you call the gymnastics team your daughter is on the "Women's team" or "Girls' team"?

I realized that I call it the Girls' team due to the ages of the girls. They're all under the age of 16. But I got stuck when I started referring to the Boys/Men's team. Some of the boys on team are 17/18 and it seems wrong to refer to them as being on the Boys' team.

So which is it? Girls' team or Women's?

It's Girl's Team here... and Boy's Team too actually. Although at a parent meeting last night, HC referred to them as Men and Women's team for the first time and I thought that sounded so strange! My 7 year old just doesn't seem to fit on something called "Women's" anything!

We call it girls.

Funny tidbit - my mom saw at another gym that they had women's gymnastics and thought how great it was that they had adult gymnastics

It's referred to with the acronym WAG, so we never have to say women, lol.

Girls and Boys teams. Because honestly, at least for girls, those competing internationally aren't even old enough to be called women in most cases.

For me, if your parents are paying the bill you are a child. So boys and girls to me. Chuso, on the other hand, is is definitely a woman.

We don't have a male team anymore, but they were called the guys or the boys.
