My daughter has always had trouble with her wristbands shifting under her grips. As she adds difficulty in bars, her wrists are starting to get really chewed up and she’s frustrated by constant wristband adjustments. I just ordered drybands at her request but while we wait for them to come to see if that helps, can anyone help me troubleshoot for her?

So far she’s tried basic Amazon wristbands, which were sometimes ok but hard to find consistent fits- if we found one pair that stayed put the next pair of the exact same brand would be a different size or feel. So then we tried ten-0 wristbands in both the short and long lengths, which were slightly better but then she upgraded and the started shifting and creeping up under her grips again, especially when the wristbands aren’t brand new or lose the tiniest bit of stretch. Taping over her grips helps a bit but doesn’t always work and wears the wristbands out so quickly.

Could this be a grip problem? Something related to her being sweatier than average? It’s becoming a big distraction and fussing with wristbands and grips is taking up so much time that’s it’s starting to eat into her turns and training time. Help!

Until her drybands arrive, if she is using the long Ten-0 wristband and has BUCKLE grips, she could fold the wristband over the bottom of the grips (so the wristband cant ride up under the grips). I'm not sure if it would work as well with velcro grips, but she could always give it a try.

Hope this helps!

She has the long ones and we never thought about folding them. She wears single buckles so I think she could get enough length if she tried that. Worth a try!
