She can do a Tsuk or Yurchenko tuck or pike, or a timer vault.
Its going to have to be something, she's TERRIFIED of yurkchenkos (but wants to do them badly), never flipped a suk, and can not figure out twisting. She will not be able to do mat stack, since she has told me she has no interest in levels.

A strong handspring vault can work for Diamond. After competing yurchenkos at level 8, my daughter refused to do flipping vaults in Diamond. She wanted to protect her ankles for track and field and knew that her yurchenko was inconsistent. She also had the "benefit" of many years of handsprings (she did them at levels 4,4,5,6,7,7 in the old days when 6 and 7 still did handsprings). Even though the vault was only worth a 9.4, her scores ranged from 8.8-9.225 in her 2 years of Diamond. She often placed with her handspring, beating flipping and twisting vaults.

So if she is stuck doing a handspring this season I would not worry.

Without flipping or twisting, the high start value she can get is a 9.5 by doing:
Handspring forward onto board – handspring forward on -> repulsion off

If she can figure out a 1/2 twist in post-flight, she could do a Handspring -> 1/2 twist off for a 9.6.

If not, a solid Handspring is worth a 9.4.
I feel like doing a front handspring onto the board is not worth the extra one tenth in start value! Whoa!
