Off Topic Xcel to College Gymnastics

Hi I am an Xcel gymnast and I have been thinking about doing college gymnastics but I hear you have to get recruited for it and that only J.O level 9-10 gymnasts get recruited. I want to get on to the Denver University team. Is it possible for an Xcel gymnast like me to do it? Tips and Opinions are appreciated

You would have to be at Xcel Diamond and be competing L9-L10 worthy routines in at least 2-3 events. ... but if you are at that level of Xcel, it would be better to petition into JO7 and score out and move up, etc.

If you want to be on the D1 team at the University of Denver, then I would say that they do not recruit Xcel gymnasts...you have to be a really good multi year level 10 to be considered for that team...the university does have a CLUB gymnastics team and they compete against other college club teams...that may be more the route for you
