Not located in the US but our athletes are members of USAG and USA IGC and follow the required levels. Is there somewhere I can see the official level requirements?
There’s an app, it costs money. But USAG Level 5 requires a cast above horizontal.

Definitely above horizontal if it’s USAG JO level 5.

When does your competition season start? How do they know for sure that she won't get it in time?

Beats me. We normally don't start attending competitions until February.

I spoke with another coach at the gym, and she stated what other's here have stated - seems like the coach just doesn't want to work on the cast with her, and that my daughter should stay level 5 and work on the skill.

I appreciate everyone's responses as I now feel more educated and able to have this discussion with her coach.

If she doesn't start competing until February, I would definitely have her do level 5.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
