Is it just me, or is the new optional level 6 potentially easier than the compulsory level 5. Since you can take advantage and play to peoples strengths?
Some of my girls are having an hard time understanding (or "doing"-for lack of a better word) the snap at the end of their front handsprings to get a good consistent rebound.
I am consistently training the front...reach, kick and block
But perhaps someone knows of some drills that will help...
i write right handed, gymnastics left footed, snowboard/skate goofy footed, kick right footed.

Personally (I understand what the rule is) i agree if they need to be spotted then it should be a zero in both level 5 and 6. If they can't do it by themselves, they shouldn't be trying it...
Thats like going out in the middle of the floor on a routine and spotting them on a roundoff...
Honestly I just don't know what to do anymore.
Went through a fairly mediocre meet last Saturday (and I am being generous here) scoring an average of 7.5 on almost every event.
While thats not horrible, it's also something that must be improved on. I'm not sure if they're unmotivated or what...
if your talking about cleaning as in "picking up mats and stacking them where they belong" ...the kids kids do it during practice because 24 hands are better than 4 hands. after practice coaches are responsible for making sure the gym is arranged as it should be after their classes are over.

there was an update to the rules on 8/21. hope someone can enlighten on it because it still says ONLY when hands are placed in front of the board, but now says for roundoff or fronthandspring entry.
