Does anyone have a tool or idea of how to clean the velcro that sticks to carpet bonded foam? Sometimes hair and lint will stick to the velcro and it makes it difficult for the mat to actually stay-put on the floor. Thanks!

Agreed. Value parts include handstand/bridge, RO, split jumps, turns, back roll..and so on. I am sure a tough judge could take the max and get close to .7.

What percentage of the gymnasts at your child's gym have or had major injuries..overuse, not fluke accidents?

Have major injuries from overuse that will keep them out of doing gymnastics for 3-6 months. For example, fractures in their back. I am pretty much interested at level 8-10 kids. And if you could please notate approximate age of these kids. Thanks!

I coach 8-9 year old compulsory gymnasts. They can make corrections when I tell them, but the next practice, I feel like I have to correct the same things over and over. This will go on for some time. Then when they get to a meet, most of the corrections go out the window. I looked into Doc...

So when my DD sits on the floor in a pike, the back of her knees won't touch the ground. I would estimate that the back of her knees are 3/4 inch off the ground. I am not sure if it is a flexibility issue, or just the way she is constructed. She can sit in a pike and nearly flatten her...

Out of curiosity...what is maintaining horizontal running speed to the board?

So I was wondering how strong are the different level gymnasts. For example at each level, what can they do? Out of curiosity, I was trying to figure out if my daughter should work on more leg lifts and chin-ups at home. She is only in level 2, age 7, but virtually all conditioning stopped...

Ok, so after reviewing some more info...if after every lunge their arms are required to be diagonally upward, and they are out straight to the sides, would a picky judge deduct? And if so, how much? They are also straight out after the passe turn, and on the pose.

I agree! I wish I had a copy of some of the routines scoring 9's. Ours was high 8's as well. It just seems like we are missing .3 or.4 somewhere.
