I was thinking this. I am in no way religious and if I was sent to a gym where praying before a meet was a "thing" I think I would feel like a bit of an outsider/uncomfortable. Religion and sport doesn't mix here, which is why I was so surprised to see such public videos.
I just recently noticed several videos where teams are huddled before meets praying. Is this the norm in America? Where I'm from this would be deemed as inappropriate practise purely because of a wide range of faiths/non-religious in each gym.
I'm trying to get my ahead around it because...
this is purely out of curiosity, what's the difference if any between the two other than the fact they're in different locations! Also what's the benefit to them of having separate locations
I'm trying to find good resources that are really detailed/well explained. I looked at threads and saw people mentioned some books but I'm a student and they're more than I can afford.
Yeah I thought that maybe but it wouldn't make much sense for it to be happening while I was training properly then. I'm not sure I'd be interested to hear too though
Not looking for medical advice just wondering if anyone has ever had the same thing. Basically I'm an ex gymnast of 2 years and recently attempted a back handpring on trampoline and got a horrific burning sensation in my stomach muscles.
I remember this used happpen every so often while training...
Any particularly good stretches besides the actual splits of course?I find with partner stretching or against the walls etc their hips go out of line so it defeats the purpose. Any advice appreciate I've never coached kids so young!
Does anyone have any tricks, tips or techniques for getting 5-7 years old understand how to do'proper' splits. As in hips square, back knee under etc. A few of them or more or less perfect while the rest are all over the place, can't stay in a nice straight line.
