Is Catherine Lyons still competing or even training? I was a big fan but she seems to be completely out of the scene.

I think she's had a tough time with injuries.

She had a concussion back in december 2014 I think, which needed 3 months off. That combined with a growth spurt- she's tall for a gymnast to start with- meant she picked up a few injuries when she came back into training. Especially as she needed to ramp up the difficulty going in to her senior year.

I would have loved to see her in Rio. I think she would have caused a stir, particularly her floor.

I wonder if code changes will affect her difficulty too.

Last I heard, she was not training with Rochelle anymore - still at Europa, and still training, but not in the elite group.
Not sure why, but probably due to the things Faith said!

I think also had GCSEs this year so maybe stepped back a bit for that. I have noticed she isn't on the IG photos of the Elite group anymore . Wonder if she will try and come back next year.

Rochelle is pregnant so she might take a step back from coaching elites?
I fear Catherine might not have the body to withstand the training load required for high level gymnastics. I hope I'm wrong though - I'd love to see her as a senior.

She is already a Senior. Although she didn't compete much this year. Only trials I think.
