Can someone who "knows", tell me if they believe that the dive cartwheel / round off done in this video (not mine, but public on youtube) would get credit as a connection? And would that also count as flight for L7?
Thank you!
My daughter is struggling with her beam series at competitions. She does well in practice and then falls on her series at the meets. She is getting so frustrated because she knows she can do her series and do it well. At the last meet she complained for two days about how she messed up. I...
Hello,
I am relative new to coaching Beam, actually its my first year in 10 years of coaching haha, so I am definitely behind the ball on it. I have a level 8 that can do BHS-BHS series which is ideal, but she is kinda on her way out, and the connection has been nothing but headache for her so...
I was trying to watch people's series at a meet a few days ago and I wondered are the people that do a lame cartwheel roundoff scored the same as the people that do cool series like I saw a roundoff back handspring. At my gym you aren't allowed to do roundoff except for a dismount or series that...
Last year my dd competed a bhs step out on beam (L7). Now she is training her BHS-BHS series for L8, but she is training a 2 foot landing on both rather than the step out. It seems like I most often see the BHS step out. Is there any advantage to doing it either way (i.e. is one easier to...
i'm going to be a level 8 next year and i was wondering what series are possible for a level 8. Except here's the catch, i have had many injuries recently and cannot learn/do backhandspring(s) and i therefore cannot do and bhsp bhsp series or anything including bhsp's or backwalkovers. What...
I've been trying out a bunch of beam series's lately, and I've noticed that almost all people do either back handspring back handspring or back walkover back handspring, and I was wondering if any particular series was judged differently or more harsh in level 8. Even if they don't judge...
Next year I need a series on beam with a B flight element. I was wondering which element would be the easiest to learn, but also the one that will help me the most latter on. Round off, BHS, FHS (I don't have a FWO), or anyothers that your can think of. Then I need to connect this to a different...
Hey there,
I seem to remember someone saying earlier this year that a series of RO, RO or CW, CW, or CW, RO wouldn't be allowed anymore because technically they cannot be directly connected. Can anyone confirm or debunk this?
Which is harder: the transition from bwo bhs to bhs bhs or from bhs bhs to bhs layout?
This question is for anyone . . . you can answer about yourself, teammates, gymnasts you coach, or your daughter. Thank you! :)
