I always 'over pack' things. So of course I want to put more than enough money in the Bank Account at camp, that way if I need it I have it. (I'm planning on $200, that's for a leotard + Any other clothing (Sweatshirt, shorts whatever I decide on) and any extra food) I put in $200 at Woodward...
So Flip Fest has officially started!
Any other gymnasts or DD's going?
This will be my first year going to Flip Fest, I went to Woodward last year.
Can anyone tell me what the typical day looks like?
I also had a bad problem at Woodward with girls staying up REALLY late (Like 3-4AM) talking...
Just curious, has anyone here ever been one?
I've applied to be a JC, of course I haven't heard yet, and I won't until April 1st.
But what kind of jobs do you do while you're there, how is the program run?? Did you enjoy it??
Even if you've just been to the camp did you see the JC's doing...
Hello!!
So I attended Woodward last year, it was a TON of fun and def. worth it in my opinion.
I mainly choose Woodward out of all the camps because I received a scholarship, but it was a 10 hour drive for us.
So this year a teammate and I were planning on attending Woodward again but right...
My daughter is going to flipfest this summer. I was wondering if anyone here has attended? Or as a coach have any of your gymnasts attended? If so, did they return with new or enhanced skills? What is the flipfest reputation?
Anyone else going during this week? Or is your kid going?
And is it nerdy that I've already started packing for her? I'll readily admit that I'm a planner extraordinaire so it isn't THAT unusual that I'm packing early. But I want to make sure that she has everything she needs and that...
Just wondering if any gymnasts that went to Flip Fest in January have received their leos that you were supposed to get as a gift? It's been 3 months, and our girls still haven't gotten them. I'm wondering if they ever will! If you did get yours, when did you get it and what does it look like?
I signed DD up to attend week 11 of Flip Fest a couple weeks ago. I just found out today that one of her buddies from school and the gym managed to get in for that week as well. The girls are so excited, and my dd is already trying to come up with ideas for a skit! :D Anyone else going to Flip...
I posted this on the Gymnast Only forum. But thought I'd try here as well.
So I'm planning on attending one of the larger gymnastics camps this summer.
But I don't know which one to choose.

What was your experience at the camp you went to?

This was our first time going to Flip Fest, and it was a nice meet. My dd had 4 falls, ugh!, but still got first on bars and third on beam (Level 9), her team placed 4th. It was a little rough for her team, but levels 7 and 8 did pretty well.
She had a beautiful beam routine, then fell on...

Saw the other "camp time" thread, and thought I would add this one.
Dropped off the oldest and youngest yesterday (8 & 10). Younger daughter is part of the Friends and Family program this year. I think it is a first for this. She (8 yo) was certainly less concerned than her mom or I about it...

Hey,
I was wondering if any gymnasts out there have ever gone to flip fest?
I am going this summer and have a few questions.

What was the most fun thing to do while you where there?
Did it Improve you gymnastics a little or a LOT?????
Did you make really good...
hey everyone
just wandering if anyone went to camp flip fest in the past years. i am cunssidering on going this coming summer, but wasnt sure if it is worth it. i have gone to diffent gymnastics camps in the past and they turned out to be a waste of money:(. so if anyone has gone and would like...
Well, for the first time ever, my kiki was very sick going into a meet. She had been throwing up 24 hours leading up to her session. I had reservation about her competing, but she insisted. She was so weak that she had her lowest scores all season BUT for the first time EVER she hit both kips...
I've been intrigued by the threads about Flip Fest. My dd loves going to camp, but they have always been day camps. Has anyone had experience sending their 7 yo to Flip Fest and how did they handle it? Did they go alone or with other friends? I obviously think having some friends/teammates...
