Parents Level 5 start bar routine over

Hi, my daughter completely had a brain freeze and after she did her low bar kip, she then did her mini giant (which is supposed to be on the high bar) but she did it on the low bar then she realized her goof and just got off the bars confused what to do next. The coaches brought the spring...

on the L3 bar routine, does anyone know what the "requirement" is for the "tap" they do with their feet on the mat before they do the pullover? DD is very short and after she does the initial swing thing (not sure what it's called) she very quickly swings back then swings forward to do her...

    Women Floor routine

I got a new floor routine last year, and I really don't like it. I want to get a new floor routine, and the coach I want to do it with isn't my main coach(she coaches me once a week and I've known her since I was little), but I'm afraid to tell my main coach because she choreographed my previous...

Women Judge My DDs Bar Routine (Lvl 5)

I've recently joined the Chalk Bucket community and see lots of parents posting videos and asking for critiques. We would love if someone would help us out by judging my DDs lvl 5 bars routine. The score she received was not what we were expecting so we're interested in obtaining some advice...

Parents is it common for level 6 gymnasts to create own beam routine?

hi - new to this community. i found it while researching beam ideas for my level 6 gymnast. at her gym they create their own beam routines and while she knows which skills she wants to do and has some filler, she's not really sure how to put it all together and she needs some hand movements...

    Women Level 10 floor routine

I am trying to determine the start value of a floor routine for level 10. The skills are round off back handspring double back (or double pike), switch ring to switch side, front layout to front pike, 1 1/2 turn, and round off 1 1/2 to front layout. Can you please explain the value and the bonus...

    Your favorite routines (Olympics)

Post your favorite routines here! And please if possible, not only US gymnasts. They are awesome for sure and everyone knows their routines by now so I would like to hear people's thoughts about other countries' less known gymnasts. My new beam favorite is Flavia Saraiva from Brasil! And I...

Parents Proud mom - First meet with 4 hit routines

I am incredibly proud of my 9 year old L2 daughter. This weekend she had her first meet where she hit all of her skills in her routines with no falls or major errors. She finally showed her coaches that she can do everything in a meet that she can do in a practice which is huge as we are...

    Simone Biles new floor routine

What do you think about Simone Biles's new routine? Personally I think her old one was much more fun and entertaining. I do like how she kept some of her signature dance moves though.

Women Xcel Gold bar routine start value help

My daughter completes xcel gold...the last 2 meets she has received a 9.5 start value. Her cast seems above horizontal (slightly pikey- but still above horizontal) . Her tap swings could be a little higher. She does a tap swing half turn (L4) dismount. Is there any way that they are not...

She made it through a bar routine :)

So proud of my girl today.... she competed today - bars only. I'm like a broken record - she can't compete anything else due to her tear in her knee. I thought she was amazing despite the little fall (ok big fall) on her gienger. Had she been a little closer to the bar...LOL she might have...

Women Sharing an Xcel Bronze Routine, per suggestion. 8.275

So, with 44 judges (throwing out the high and low scores), this Xcel Bronze Routine scored an 8.275. Granted, the judges have NEVER seen Xcel Bronze before… AND they were all between the ages of 7 and 17…AND many of them are in Level 3 or Level 4, so have never dealt with Start Values before...

Parents L3 Bars Routine - How is it scored?

I tried doing a search on here, but didn't see too much about L3. Is there a good source for what the judges look for during the routine? We were very confused about the judging at a meet this weekend and wondering what I'm missing (probably a lot :p). Thanks!

T&T Voluntary Routine with max 1.1 difficulty

I'm part of the trampoline club at uni and I'm trying to design a voluntary routine suitable for NEUT or BUCS competitions. It cannot have more than 1.1 for the difficulty and cannot exceed 270 degrees rotation for somersaults. Does anyone have any routines that would be suitable other than the...

Women Is there a deduction for a beam routine being to short?

My dd is working on her level 7 beam and it clocks in around 40 seconds. She hits all her needed skills (I think), starts down on the beam, does full turn, bwo-bhs, split jump/beat jump combo then cw-bt. I know there are over time deductions but not sure about under time ones! Thanks!
