Hey everyone! My daughter is new to level 3. She fell after her rbhs and got a really low score (6.975) other girls got higher scores even though they didn't attempt theirs.why is this?
DD was happy to have corrections from the board on her first meet. She used them to improve on 3 of the four events. She was hoping a judge was willing to give her a few tips on her second meet. Anyone have some free time?
My friend fell in love with the national compulsory level 4 routine from Australia, the whistle routine (). She would be looking for the routine with floor plan aka using the entire floor.
Does anyone have:
1. A textbook description of the routine?
2. The floor music in MP3?
I don't understand all the symbols and codes...but this is what DD has and I am not sure if it is enough:
spring board to high board
kip to handstand
hopefully a tkatchev (inconsistent with it)
Pirouette to shootover to handstand
Chinese situp to kip/handstand
double giant
double layout dismount...
DD had her in-house/mock meet on Friday and it was the first time I was able to see her new floor routine with her tumbling passes. Hope it's okay if I share it here. I adore it!!!
My gym does something called routine verification. Its normally in mid September and its only for our level 6s, 7s, 8s, 9s, and 10s. Its where the gymnasts perform on all events and its really like a practice meet except for the fact that they can vault onto a soft landing instead of competition...
Last year when one of the level 9 boys competed a double back on floor they had him land on a four inch mat. I have seen this done during broadcasts of gymnastics meets so I know it is "a thing". My son wants to compete his double back this year but our coaches, after talking to another coach at...
I already asked this in the Xcel social group and have one awesome reply already but would like feedback on a Gold Beam routine. Would this routine work for a 10.0 SV: Leap-Sissone, BWO, full turn, split jump-straight jump, front tuck dismount. I think it's missing a second acro skill, but the...
Hi everyone :) I was wondering if anyone might be willing to look at my floor routine and give me some feedback on what I should improve on and fix. Some ideas for better floor choreography would be appreciated as well, I don't really have anything to do to get into the corners for my passes. I...
I'm curious. When does your DD's gym start working on compulsory routines for the upcoming competition season? My DD is a level 4 and I've noticed they don't start learning routines until the end of August, with their first meet in December. They work on the next level skills immediately...
Hi. Pretty recently my daughter has started struggling to do her ROBHS in her floor routine for Level 3. She's been doing it for months- and has even done a ROBHSBHS multiple times. I think it is mostly nerves. What would the deduction be for just doing a round off in the floor routine? They...

I first saw this great routine, actually, in the fail video. (2:05)
She also has, in addition to that amazing mount, some cool overpoint work and a sweet backwalkover.
I really love to watch floor routines, especially when the gymnast, routine and music seems to be one. I read this article about the top ten artistic floor routines of 2015: http://www.flogymnastics.com/article/38455-top-10-artistic-floor-routines-of-2015#.WSsYOmjyjIU. Eythora Thorsdottir came...
