Over the summer, I hurt my back. I couldn't do gym for a month in a half.I couldn't do much of anything, so I did very basic conditioning. So when I had my first practice since I hurt my back today, I realized bars was very hard for me. I just moved up to level 5 so we did a lot of kips and...

I would love to hear everyone's opinions on what they feel are the 10 strength, shaping, or flexibility items no gymnastics workout should be without. I don't mean general stretch warmup though.
Who's first?

I was only able to take Gymnastics for 1 year while I was away at college (the disadvantages of living in a small town with no gym) and had to leave because I no longer wanted to be in that college course.
Anyways, I need to gain strength in my arms (and legs too but mostly arms). I just want...

I've seen a lot of Elites who do some strength move or press to handstand on beam. I'm noticing it more at Levels 9-10. Is this something we should think about adding to beam routine at Level 9?
My personal feeling is that judges want to see gymnasts do some strength move and seem to reward...

I have a 5yo boy in a 'boys beginner' class at our local gym. They are learning extremely basic MAG skills. He is the smallest in his class, but has good focus and gives it a great effort. He wants to "get stronger and more stretchy."
Forgive my vocabulary, I come from ballet and...
I took my son to physiotherapist yesterday after about six weeks of increasing knee pain (which started after a basketball game).
