Wow, some of those are so beautiful! Myabe it's me but so many beam routines now seem a bit dull and all about who wobbles the least, but those would certainly have me sit up and take notice - lovely.

My daughter is learning the one where you (please excuse my total lack of correct terminolgy, I don't speak gymnastics all that well yet) hold your weight on your hands sitting in a straddle, then swing up in to a straddle type handstand (lever?) and then go over in to split handstand. It's part of the early stages of the compulsory levels here (she's competing uk level 4 next year). It looks so impressive for a little girl. Shes only just starting to love the beam and these are really inspiring so I can't wait to show her.

Thanks for this.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
