Parents 1st rip on bars!

Yikes! Those are no joke! DD has a 50¢ piece sized rip on her palm! She cried a bit (Im told), but got taped up and got to work. Unfortunately, she has a tomorrow. I guess we shall see how it goes!

Bella used to want a rip so badly....to the point that she would swear her callouses were rips. Then she got one. She doesn't wish for rips anymore.

Is your daughter in grips yet? Bella said once she got in her grips, she didn't notice it quite as much. Hopefully, your daughter's rip won't affect her bars. Good luck today!

When our little ones get rips the coach just pulls the skin off (so it doesn't tear more) and has them throw it away. There is nothing sadder than watching a crying 6 year old going to the trash can to throw away her skin. The funny thing is, they ALL go right back out there, no matter what. I know rips suck, but I've learned it's just part of the sport. And yes, some of the girls wear them like a badge of honor.
