Hi there, I am considering to save some money and buy used old set of Gymnova uneven bars (the red ones) instead of the newer white ones. I know the red ones are lower and require a set of feet to raise them to newer FIG standards.
I have seen pictures of them with both whiteish upright heads (not sure if that's the proper definition, but I mean the top parts of the uprights where the rails get connected), and red heads.
Do you guys know the difference between the two types of upright heads?
I am a bit concerned since I have never been a fan of Gymnova because of the plastics they use but in this case I am willing to go for the Gymnova UB, since they are more versatile and have a better cabling system compared to Spieth.
If, for some reason, the white heads tend to fail with age, I will definitely avoid that model.
I think I have also seen steel upright heads but less often.
Thanks!
