Parents Alabama Xcel meet season?

Can anyone tell me whether Xcel follows the JO compulsory calendar for competition in Alabama (starting in August)? Or what the Xcel season is like here? My daughter is currently preteam in a JO-only gym that starts competing at level 3, and I think Xcel may be a better match for our family in the long run.

Alabama’s xcel season is primarily Jan-April. There are probably xcel meets a gym could do in the fall if they wanted to, but the true season is spring because state and regional meets are in April (and maybe May for regional).
