I love “checking in” on my gymnastics skills to see if I still have them. It takes soooooo long to get back in shape, but once I build up my muscles, then it’s just like riding a bike!

I’m 35 and doing gymnastics is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid. Way more painful though 🫠

I get headaches now if I do too many tumbling passes. Which always makes me wonder … why doesn’t EVERYONE get headaches when they do gymnastics?? Your brain is just sloshing around your skull at high speeds all the time!!

Doing gymnastics as an adult is a really humbling experience. It really reminds you how difficult gymnastics is.

So true! It’s incredible what we could do as youngsters, I’m in awe of how good I was , now it’s seems so difficult! 🤣

I'm on my second year competing as an adult. It's fun to get back out there but with my availability to practice I only have 2hrs a week and really only can work routines so after the aau season I'm just going to be practicing
So much fun ! Good luck with the rest of your season!
