My daughter is a level 9 gymnast and has a painful bunion on one of her feet. Her bunion doesn't look that bad, but there is fluid/a cyst in the bone that causes pain with gymnastics. We have seen doctors and specialists. She took time off over the summer hoping giving a rest would help, but once she was back to gymnastics the pain returned. The Dr has given her a special way to tape her toe/foot to keep the toe in proper alignment, but it really doesn't stay on during gymnastics. He has worked with a lot of professional ballet dancers with the same issue, but since they wear shoes the tape works better for them. Has anyone found and kind of sleeve or wrap that would help keep the big toe in position to help decrease pain? I see some things on Amazon, but not sure how they will work for gymnastics.
