I need some advice on how to not be scared of my backhandspring on high beam. I have had my bhs on the low beam consistently for a couple of weeks without any fear or failure, i am due to compete this skill next weekend and it's one of my requirements. When i get onto the high beam i feel like i can't jump onto my hands and when i try i get dizzy and scared. As everyone at my gym is all prepping for our comp there is not any opportunities to try it with box set ups. I know i can do the skill its just getting over the fear to do it on the high beam which i need help with.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
