I feel that most of the time you have to work with mentally after a bad fall. I prefer to visualize doing the skill perfectly many times and even doing it in a routine. Going back to drills for the skill also help or getting spot. Most of the time on beam I end up splitting the beam on leaps, jumps, or turns and I have to tell myself that if I'm going to fall off the beam I want it to be on something good not just a small little hop and just go for it all out.
