My sister is a L5. Her coaches make her train Bounders, also called Flysprings, a lot more than Front Handsprings.
She also does drills for Bounder - Front Tuck on mats and they want her compete Bounder - Front Tuck for L7.
When I asked her she told me they want her to do Punch Front Layout - Front Tuck for L8, because she is a "fast twich" kid and good in tucking.

I am a little confused because all of her teammates train Front Handspring - Front Tuck and I think a Bounder is a lot harder. However, I know that the Front Handspring of my sister used to be crooked but she does pretty powerful bounders.

I do not doubt her coached AT ALL, I just have some questions:

1) How hard is it to do Bounder - Front Tuck on floor? A lot harder than with the FHS?

2) Is this the progression for Front Layout - Front Tuck later?

3) Do you need to do FT - FT on floor before FL - FT or can you immediately start with training FL - FT if you can do Bounder - FT?

4) Do you think it is easier to get into Front Layout - Front Tuck with a Front Handspring or just punching into them?

Thank You

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
