What's the best way to treat rope burns? My dd was up and down the rope 3 times last night and kind of slid down a bit too fast. I put bandaids with Neosporin on them. Is there anything else I should do? Thanks!

Sounds like you did the right thing. You may want to try a vitamin E or aloe vera. Just try things that won't sting to much. I know kids do not like that at all! Make sure she knows to climb down the ropes the same way she went up.

Just give them some time. Are they on her thighs or hands?

There's one between her legs (upper thigh) and the other one runs down her shin and a little bit on her foot. She was a trooper about it, though. No tears.:)

I think the Neosporin would work. Also, A & D ointment is good on stuff like that. We use it everyday in my house! Sorry about your daughter...ouch!

i have used aloevera with lidacaine(sp?) for rug burns. it would probably work for rope burns too. It is really the lidocaine that helps. It comes as a spray, and is usually for sunburns.
