Women Comp leo odor removal

Argh... leo left in bag for a week and now it really smells. Mostly stale sweat. Before I do anything to ruin it right in the middle of DD's meet season, any thoughts/hints/whatever-you-do-don't-do-this? If this were an everyday leo I'd just drop in the washer with some extra baking soda but I'm afraid that this fabric might not react well? I usually handwash this leo (with all it's bling) with a little laundry soap. But that didn't really do much for the problem. What do you do?

vinegar rinse usually works for us... then wash as usual... good luck.

I handwash dd's (inside out) with cold water and woolite and that seems to get any sweat etc. out of it.

I have done a baking soda wash in cold water in the sink on a comp Leo. It took the smell out (mostly) and nothing bad happened to it.

I'd hand wash with vinegar and just cold water and air dry outside in the sun. Don't worry, I think one time in sun wont harm it. If smell doesn't come out, then try woolite with vinegar and then indirect sun. Hope this all helps.

Febreze makes a laundry additive-it's different than the stuff you spray. Hard to find but you can order it online if you can't find it at a store (I've only seen it at Kmart).

I hand wash in woolite and then hang with a dryer sheet tucked in each armpit and in the body to dry. Seems to get rid of all of the smell!
