DD's L2 State Meet was yesterday. She had a great meet. She earned her highest all-around of the season with a 35.225! (her previous highest was 34.15) All the girls from dds team in her division received a 35 or higher (one 36) for the first time. They received a pin that said Elite on it for making a 35 and felt real special.
She also received 2nd on floor, 4th on vault, 6th on beam and 7th on bars. All except beam were her highest scores of the season. Going to the meet she was really nervous. After the meet she said "Mommy this was really fun!"
In AAU L2, the state meet is the only meet where they receive placement medals and so I think she was really excited about that. It was really cute to watch each girl come back from the podium and hug all the other girls.
Overall a great experience for all the girls on DDs team!
