Great question, I was wondering this myself for a skipped flyaway on L5 bars. No one on our team has it yet and it's getting dangerously close to our first meet.
Wow. Just wow....Our in house is Friday. 1st meet is Dec 5th. No one has them except the the two 2nd year girls. We don't uptrain. The girls didn't even start drills for them until about 8 weeks ago. They are going through the motions heavily spotted.
Level 5 bars is brutal. Do they have all the other skills solid? It is not uncommon to see 7's and low 8's around here at beginning of the season for girls with their fly aways, so without it I can't imagine… Do they just automatically move all the girls up to the next level? I don't understand not even working them until this close to the meets. I imagine they are already signed up and registered for meets at this point. I understand sometimes you may have a couple girls that the coaches will think will have the skills in time and so they move them up, but a whole team?
Thank you. My DD developed a fear of doing the double on the floor last week. Fine on tumble track but only throwing a single on floor. We have a meet Saturday so if she doesn't do 2 I want to be able to understand the amount lost.Yes the missing BHS would be the same deduction.

Her coach and I both don't care single or double right now as long as she is happy.
