Is it safe to stack a incline cheese mat on a 8 inch thick mat? are they built for this? Trying to learn front tucks, instead of just using in-ground resi pits or tumble traks.

Wanted to test different mat formats for taller athletes.

We do that quite a bit in our gym for double back timers, vault timers, tumbling up, etc. Sometimes the top mat may slide, so test it first. Some water spray often sticks the mats together. Readjust before each turn. Throwing a pit pillow on top softens the landing, flipping onto a hard cheese mat may not be the best if you are learning front tucks and landing on your bottom/back. When possible, use old, soft mats.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
