DD (age 7, level 3) was so excited to get her first rip! Coaches gave her a tape grip, she feels like such a big kid. I don't know how I'm going to convince her to take the "grip" off before she goes to bed

My, what long fingers you have my dear! All the better to grip the bar with.....

this hasn't happened to my 7 year old yet. She is such a wimp about the slightest little boo boo, that I'm afraid that she'll quit gymnastics on the spot the second she finds out these are par for the course.

For DD, the uglier the boo boo the better She was the last one in her training group of "littles" to get one. It's been so funny watching her inspect her hands after practice looking for any signs of the elusive rip
