front and side aerials

I got both my front and side aerials at training last night!! They were into the pit but our pit is just one big block of foam and I was doing them onto a mat of equal height to the tumbling strip. I'm happy with them, especially the front aerial but I keep bringing my legs together at the end of it (like a front handspring to two feet) instead of stepping out like a front walkover. Originally I was afraid I would land on one leg and hyperextend it, that's why I landed on two feet the first time. I got over that quickly but kept bringing my legs together! Any thoughts or 'key words' anyone has to help me fix this would be much appreciated, thanks!!
