Getting independent feedback on competition footage

I have heard that there is some place gymnasts can send in footage from their meets and have a judge send them back specific feedback for a fee. Does anyone know anything about this?

I wouldn't recommend this. Better to have a discussion with the coaches about it. No matter what you find out, they would have to work with the coaches anyway...no need for confusion. If you don't think the coaching is adequate at the gym then that's another issue in itself.

I know several of our gyms coaches have taken the judgeing course if for no other reason than to be able to help the athletes. Maybe someone from your gym might be a judge, wouldn't hurt to ask. When coaches are coaching at meets they sometimes miss parts of the routines in the hustle bustle of everything. You can ask if someone knows the deductions ans ask if they are willing to look over the footage and see where they were taken.
