I am struggling with rips all the time and just stumbled across a picture of Gabby Jupp. It looks like she is wearing white gloves under her grips at uneven bars. I have never seen that before.

Could this be kind of rip prevention?
Which type of gloves could you use? The ones she is wearing seem to be elastic and perfectly staying in place.
How would you fix the gloves from slipping off your hands?

Any input and experiences welcome!

Looks like cotton gloves that you find in the medical/spa area of the drug store (i.e. put lotion on hands, then sleep with them), with the fingers cut off.
We used those to help heal rips overnight, but never thought to use them under grips.

I think it looks like tape, not gloves. I can't imagine wearing gloves on bars.

I tried to get a better screenshot from a video. And I do not think that this is tape.
As Ali'sMom said it could be cotton gloves.

But I can't imagine wearing those on bars, too.
