Parents Gym parents who are/were also teachers/in the education field?

I am a high school chemistry teacher at a large (1600+) city high school. I took a nice long break - 5 years - when I had the boys, but have been back working for three years. I have a masters in school counseling but have decided to stay in the classroom because that's what makes me happiest!

I could have written that! (Minus the five year break)

I taught mainly Bio and Chem for twenty years. In Wisconsin, teachers are under fire for being union thugs, and so I resigned to be at home with my four year old for the last year before he starts school full time.

I am applying to work as an aide, but haven't gotten too many nibbles, probably because I am over qualified.
