I want to sign my daughter up for a gymnastics camp this year but I honestly don’t know what level to sign her up for. She just competed xcel gold and will be competing level 6 this upcoming fall(she’s been competing level 5/6 skills this seasons in gold and did level 4 the year prior). Most camps have a few options like lvl 3/5 and xcel silver/gold, level 6-10 and xcel platinum/diamond or level 8-10. I am unsure what to put her in but she really wants to do the level 6-10 since she thinks the lower level will be too easy but I am unsure if they want kids who have already competed level 6 or ones who are working toward it? Any advice?

Could you ask the person who is in charge of the camp? They would know about past years and what level and year those kids were. Another factor to look at is what group has more kids her age.
I assume that level 6-10 would be more her age since she will be 11 soon that’s another reason she wants to do the higher level one. I did reach out and they said it’s up to me and she can do either. She does have the skills for the higher level skill camp so we may do that.

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
