Coaches How to patch a rip on suede beam?

Hello coaches.
We just reupholstered a beam. With suede material. 2 weeks later, there is a 3/4" cut/ rip on the side, just below the top. How should we fix it so it doesn't keep ripping? Should we use ductape or cut a patch of suede and glue it on? Or just spray with some glue?

you did it wrong. you can use spray glue over the tear and it will probably hold. but it's going to tear in another place same distance down from the top.

Oh no...it was reupholstered 3 weeks ago. I doubt it we can pull it off. Someone very inexperienced did it (I won't go into details). Any other options?
