Looking for more information on hard and protected landings on all events. How many hard impact turns do you take each practice? What matting and drills do you use Day-to-day to minimize impact? Have you seen reduction of injuries from limiting or charting impact turns?

Feel free to post any research or articles out there too!
 
i take injuries very seriously because ive been injured so many times. to minimize risk of injury, i always use more mats such as 4 inchers or 8 inchers during practice for landings until about a week or two before a meet then gradually use it less and less so my body will be prepared to not use the extra cushioning during a competiton

Beam deductions

Hi everyone! I’m hoping to get some help understanding my deductions on beam. I’ve been watching my videos back, but I’m having trouble figuring out exactly where the judges are taking the most off. If anyone is willing to take a look and give me some feedback, I’d really appreciate it. I’m especially curious about execution deductions, rhythm/connection issues, and anything in my acro or dance that might be costing me. The judge started me at a 10 for this routine, and I got a 9.1
