WAG Kienbock's disease

Does anyone out there have any experience with this fairly serious wrist condition? One of the younger girls on the team was recently diagnosed. Is it necessarily the end of gymnastics?

Oh how awful! I read about it and it doesn't sound like gymnastics is worth the risk, but i have no clue......
poor thing....my heart goes out to her.
